Well, went to the range and bought the p99. I fired 300 rounds today. I just took the gun and began shooting. I did not clean it or anything. I fired 100 rounds of Norinco, 50 rounds if SPEER (the HRT leftovers !!), 50 rounds of Wolf Reloads, 50 rounds of 115gr winchester whitebox, and 500 rounds of 147 tcmc winchester. The gun functioned fine. It fired pretty low. I fored 4" low at 10-15 yards. I changed to the shortest sights and it still shot 2" low. Any ideas or remedies on how to fix this. I also notice my trigger finger was touch the bottom of the trigger guard. I am happy with my purchase.

I thought mine was firing high and I adjusted the front site to highest and it did lower it some. I kept on firing and the poi seemed to change again. It seems that I had to just get used to the gun. Mine came with a target for 25meters. One would think that it should shoot high at 10-15 yards. I would say that you should shoot it a couple hundred more rounds to get used to it and perhaps have someone else shoot it as well before doing anything else.

This happens to me as well. It was suggested that I would grow a calus. I found that the mag release protruded slightly above the trigger guard and this was what was irritating my finger. I used a knife to scrape some of the ridges off of the mag release lever and it is much better now. I'm growing a calus as well.

Congrads on your new gun...my sites appeared to be off also, switched to night sites to cure it. The rubbing has been mentioned several times with no real cure as yet...I just make a special effort to keep my finger high.

Hi fellas, I took a preaty fine lil file and deburred my mag release. Other than the mag release after several hundred dri fires the finger rub just seems to go away.
I'm going to try a bike innertub grip on mine. I've used em before on other pistos and it's alot thinner than the Houge or others. Dosn't last as long, usually replace them withina yr. But 1 tube will give ya lots of grips...
