I just purchased a new P99 military in 9mm.  I was pretty stuck in the decision to buy a SIG 239 or a Glock 19, but once I held the 99 i had to have it.  I was just curious, but what are the differences in the regular P99 and the military?  Just color?  Any websites for aftermarket parts?  What are your experiences with this gun?  Common malfunctions, recalls, etc.?  Any info is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the group. I too was set a Glock 19 and after touching a P99 I forgot all about the G19.
No difference in Military other than color.

Glad to see you over here on Waltherforums.
My P99 Military 9mm has 6k+ rounds thru it with zero malfunctions.
The only "problems" with the P99 series has been early 9mm recoil springs were a bit stiff for US loaded 115gr. ammo, and the early .40's had magazine follower issues. Both problems have been rectified to my knowledge.
Holsters from http://www.comp-tac.com for kydex or http://www.highnoonholsters.com/ for leather.
Night sights from Meprolite, and spare 10 round range mags from http://www.cdnninvestments.com and you'll be all set.
One last note, if at all possible its best to avoid Earl's Repair in Mass. In my experience he is way overpriced, very rude, and the buying experience is very unsatisfying.

Fobus
for a description of their offerings. I have one of them for a Glock and love it. I'm using leather for my P99 but may switch some day.

I have the Locking Paddle.  It works beautifully.  Order some of the mag pouches, too. Comp-Tac's customer service is outstanding!

If you want leather, I'd suggest Milt Sparks. You might have to wait, but it's worth it.
