I have the 2005 catalog and will check for you. The Walther website is heavily out of data. If you look at the black P99 QA next to it you see its a 2003 or older model.

My conclusion is that it is a 2004 with the smooth trigger guard (bumpless). I'll post later again tonight.

Looks nice. Now for a sand slide.

I'm used to the smaller mag release and I prefer it's looks. I hope they leave it alone...

at the local gun store, i noticed the 2004 AS have the huge mag release, while the QA models have the regular/small mag release.....

I have a 2004 (AE) 9mm AS -- it has the normal mag release. The only one I've seen with the oversized release is the picture of DTQ's .40 AS, which is a 2005 (AF) model.

you're probably right... i just took the salesman's word for it...
... i should know better...


anyway... i like the look of the small/regular slide release mag also
