hallo there! I´m glad to introduce my new piece, a ZM PPK 7,65 m/m, millionth series, probably made in 1939 (am I right?), reblued & completely renewed by gunsmith, with wooden stock and a front-checkered grip ... BUT I never ever, even after an lil´ web investigation, saw mark like that on my frame, the main difference is location of "Mod. PPK" in the front of the second link instead on the far right side, what is that?

I don't know....but nice looking pistol....congrats on your purchase.

Welcome to the forum.
Nice.

If it were mine, I would remove the white filling in the lettering. That stuff is for museum pieces (makes it easy to read). I would not even subject my safe queens to that.
Thanx, thanx, thanx, guys! I really like the WHOLE of that gun, shootability, concealbility, accuracy, reliability plus part of a history, as an old school freak ... Yeah, gunsmith´s works (not mine, but previous owner´s) with checkering & s.i.c.k. white filling on the frame means dehonesting of PPK´s historical price, no doubt ´bout it! So, take it or leave it, now I´ve got nice pistol still with a SOUL, not plastic, but all-steel fantastic, well made & hope it will serve for a next generations after me (us).

I don't quite understand what mark you are seeing/referring to on the frame. So the previous owner had the entire slide legend removed in the refinishing job and then re-engraved? Are you sure it's a million series gun? Did he have the serial number "re-engraved"? Besides the location of the Mod PPK, he forgot some punctuation. But who cares. It's a sharp looking shooter.
