Hi.  New here.  About 20 or more years ago  I purchased a NIB Walther PP22.  I understand that it has been discontinued.  I have only seen about two in the last few years that sold in the 700 + dollar range and they were used.  This particular piece was Made in Germany and bears the import stamp.  It is still NIB, in an oil bag, cherry, and unfired as it has been a Vault Queen all these years.  It came from the factory with Target Grips.  Just thought I'd check out this forum for info. but I don't see any thing on this particular Model PP22, but I do know it is rare.  May be putting it up on Gun Auctions eventually.  Last price I saw on it was @$1200 I believe.  Anybody got any info to share...??  Thanx

If you give me the first few digits of the serial number, I can tell you a little more.

The .22's are popular and somewhat rare in the U.S. If you look, you can usually find them, but most people hold onto them because they are fun, accurate and cheap to shoot.

Where did you see the price for yours at? Most of the time value will be determined on condition, special markings, rarity, and eventually what someone is willing to pay.

Hi. Serial # 517XXLR It's been a couple of years but I think I saw that price in a Shooters Bible. It's the only place I had ever even seen them listed. I've never seen another NIB unless there is some other collectors holdin on to em.

You're PP was made in the lte 70'2 to early 80's. Probably 1980.

A recent look at Gunsamerica.com showed NIB PP's in .22 going for around $900. You can try selling it for $1200, but like I said earlier, it all boils down to what someone is willing to pay for one. Obviously if you list it for a lower price it will probably sell faster, so I guess it's up to you as to wether you need fast cash or are you willing to wait it out until the right buyer comes along.

Sounds like you have a nice pistol. Good luck.

Thanx for the info P88. I went to gunsamerica auction sight and saw them listed from 900 to 1175 for NIB. I think 900 is about right for absolutely NIB. thanx, Dos
