seems very heavy, what is the factory pull in DA for the .380 PPK? I've read 13.4 lbs. but this seems quite heavier, maybe as much a 20 lbs. The SA pull is great, no issues - i know the PPK is known to have a heavy DA pull, is there a way for me to gauge my pull, most trigger pull gauges max out around 12-13 lbs. and im sure this one is much more
would a lighter hammer strut spring be advisable, Wolff has 14,15,16, and 17 lbs springs
"all4shooters.com/de" has a interesting discussion of the PPK's and 9mmk round's effectiveness for the hunter's finishing shot. This is part of a review of the Fort Smith PPK and PPK/S pistols, which I believe, is very well done and with excellent photographs.

It's really an interesting article but it suggests that no PPK models have been manufactured in the US for about 20 years since the shutdown of Interarms. Smith & Wesson isn't mentioned at all. One picture legend provides misleading information about the appearance and size of the new Fort Smith models. But the article is far better than others I've seen before.
Neufertigung der Walther-Pistolen PPK und Walther PPK/S, jetzt aber aus US-Fertigung im Kaliber .380 ACP oder 9 mm kurz. Testbericht, Daten, Preise, Bezugsquellen
Balogh: Yes, no mention of S&W. Also, no mention that slides are made in Germany. Additionally, the Fort Smith pistols are really "assembled" in the USA (rather than a "made in USA.") That said, I also thought the article was better than most. It's also the first I've seen that shows all four of the pistols - both stainless and both black.
The "All4shooters.com/de" is very interesting. Several articles on old and new Walthers pistols and air rifles. Found the articles on the P-38 and P-1 good as well. The site has language tabs for German, English, Italian and Russian.
Yes, not a "normal" PPK since 1968. But Walther developed and offered special versions of the PPK that do not fall under this law, especially in order to circumvent this American law. Such PPKs are also offered on various occasions on the German websites I have linked.
Now it is up to you whether you want to try to get a Walther pistol in Germany from the USA. That is why this matter comes to an end for me with this post.
Yes, but the PPK is a specific type pistol and it can not be legally imported. (Other PP series pistols have a different model designations.) My comments are only meant to avoid establishing a false hope that the PPK pistol can be legally imported.
Yes, the PPK/S was introduced to meet the GCA 68 definition of 'sporting'. I have two in .380, plus one 7.65 PP..
I guess a German PPK will have to remain absent from my little group unless I want to pay too much for the limited selection we get to choose from here. Meanwhile, I can console myself that in the movie 'Doctor No', though Bond supposedly receives a PPK, he actually uses a PP.
Been shooting my IA PPK/S.380 since I bought it new in 1980's.. Yep, the D/A trigger pull is very heavy.Still, even after a FT.Smith "rebuild".Arthritis a daily issue, as I'm 87. The solution: Two hand presentation with support hand index finger exerting pressure (inside the trigger guard) on the primary trigger finger. Goes bang every time. Finding the balance point between D/A pull & positive ignition, for me, was impossible.
Long ago, I bought a length of aluminum rod and bent it to make a hook for the trigger. I then hung weight plates from my dumbbells on it until the trigger went.
Like this, only home made and only about $5 instead of $150.
