Well, I have often wondered why walther has not given the P99 the PPQ frame. I love my P99, but I love my PPQ navys grip. So i ordered a PPQ frame and I will make one myself. Frame will be here in a few days, so we will see how it goes.

Yeh, was gonna say....IAOF will give you some info. :D
Well crap, somebody beat me too it. No biggie. Still going to be a sweet gun, I hope
You know Thunderbird, I spent at least 5 minutes trying to figure out what IAOF means, then, it's like a light bulb went off in my head, I'm a old fart
Sometimes the light works, most of the time the bulb is blown
Sorry bout that, the images were on photobucket, then they pooped in their own mess kit, and everybody bailed. Can't believe they're still around.

Here's a picture of my P99 M2 :D

Yes, my light bulb has been flickering for a few years now.

Walther does in fact give the P99 the PPQ frame in the model of P99Q. The pistol does not have the traditional P99 slide. Slide is that of PPQ. The decock feature works by slightly retracting the slide (so no need for a decock plate). Unfortunately, not available for commercial market sale.
This is it gentlemen, this is what we train for.

P99Q predated the PPQ by several years..;)
I guess it doesn't matter since we can never buy one
Watching to see if this is plug-n-play... Earl for the frames?

I would hope Walther is listening. I would be in for 1 full size and 1 compact if offered. :)

I got it together, works fantastic, or at least in theory. Haven't shot it but I'm sure its fine

So many questions... How's it shoot? Sa/da still? Decocker?

I have not shot it. But everything works as it should. The decocker works fine. Single double action works great. PPQ mags work fine. I'll shoot it this weekend, but I'm sure it will perform as expected.

I'm wanting to do the same with a SW99 slide and a Walther threaded barrel... Found the ppq frame I want and I have the money to buy it, but I am in Arkansas and the frame is in Florida. I have no means to travel to Florida and the owner won't ship it. 😞
If one of you is in the Orlando area... I'm not going to be able to travel there, so share the love, right?

Workky, I have to ask... What are your plans for that p99 frame? Are you considering selling it? 😄

Is that optional model that doesn't require the use of sights? :D

I like these Frankenguns.

Personally, I think it'd be sweet to have a PPQ Classic framed P99QA.

Maybe...I too will jump on this bandwagon. My PPQ needs a new trigger bar anyway.....

😂😂😂
No sights yet, but my green laser will work for now. Frankenguns are fun! join the winning team and build something unique. Love the ppqa classic idea. Let's see it! You can start a frankenguns thread...
