Quote[/b] (banddr2 @ Dec. 05 2006,3:09)]Very nice!

2 questions:  On your P1, P4 & P38K, did you use white paint or liquid paper for the lettering?

Was there a P2, P3 & P8, if so do you know what they were?
I use brownell's lacquer sticks. They wear real well after they've "cured" and can be removed fairly easily too. I don't use them on everything, just certain guns.

Here's the list you desire....................the "German's".........

P1: Walther P1 (P38 with alloy frame), German Bundeswehr (until 1996)

P2: SIG P210, German Federal Border Guards

P3: Astra 400, selected State police forces

P4: Walther P4 (P38 with short barrel and decocker), BKA (Federal Police)

P5: Walther P5, selected State police forces (lower Saxony)

P6: SIG P225, selected State police forces (North-Rhine Westphalia, Hesse)

P7: HK P7 PSP, Bavarian and Baden-Wuerttembergian State police

P8: HK USP, Bundeswehr only (since 1996)

P9: Walther P99, selected State police forces (Schleswig-Holstein)

P10: HK USP Compact, selected State police forces (Thuringia, Saxony)

Thanks for the info.  It is very interesting that they would use the Astra400 being such an odd caliber and a blowback design, since after the war one would think the German police would use something produced by the conquering countries or perhaps the Hi Power.  But then it is imprtant to the Germans to have something concealable, so that would leave the Hi Power out.  But then again the P1,P2 and P3 were pretty large pistols also.  The Sig 210 was of course an excellent choice for a service pistol.

I saw that shirt in the sportmasguide a year ago, I wish I would of bought one. That was an excellent idea to use it as a picture background.
