Hi all. I recently bought a Model 9 on GB. One shot and it broke. Of course the guy who sold it claims no responsibility and won't contribute to getting it fixed.
Does anyone know:
1. where I can find a Model 9 FIRING PIN? I've looked on eBay, Numrich and Jack First with no luck so far
2. is there any recourse for the guy selling me a broken gun?
Thanks.

Earl Mount is the guy for Model 9 info. While he's not a frequent poster here he usually responds to things Mod 9.

You're probably SOL on the pistol after you accept delivery from the FFL. It's the risk you take with old pistols and GB.

Calling Earl Mount!

Does anyone know Earl Mount? Jimbo tells me that Earl is the man who can possibly help me find a firing pin for a Model 9. Any leads? Thanks!

As predicted. Earl is one of the foremost experts on these fantastic little pistols and is a great resource for those of us that collect them. I wish there were more interest in the early Walther's these days to keep guys like Earl posting. It would be much more informative than the discussions that have consumed the forum of late.

Issue resolved!

Many thanks to Jimbo for directing me to Mr. Earl Mount who very graciously supplied me with a much needed part to get my recently acquired Model 9 working again. Earl is a great guy who was very willing to help me out, and after spending a lot of time trying to find that rare part, I am particularly appreciative. Thanks again, Earl and Jimbo!
