PPS sights are different. And I'd caution people looking into Meprolight. we at least had a major problem with POI with the Meps on my wife's PPQ, and while they were cheap it's pricy in the long run now that we have to just get Dawsons.

Now I'm not so sure. Optics Planet wants to "verify" my credit card by "making a small charge for 2 or 3 cents up to five dollars!" and I have to call them to verify the amount before they will use my card.

Ok According to Optics Planet they have been having a ton of fraud on their websites. so they are just being proactive with new customers.

I guess I can understand and appreciate them looking out for fraud.

So, call em' right now and verify this email.

I've been ordering from them for a few years....no problems.

But I certainly wouldn't be giving out the kind of information they're asking for in the email without confirming the authenticity of the email....so look up their number on the internet and call them.

If you feel uneasy with any of this, cancel your order, then call the credit card company and tell them what's going on. I've also gone as far as having the credit card company deactivate my current card and send me a new one with new number.

Thanks I did that. As I said above they are having a ton of CC fraud lately so they are implementing this policy for new customers. I just paid via paypal then they linked the payment to my order and all is good.

But yeah it is a but offputting, especially in this day and age.

They're legit. Sometimes they promise items at prices and then they suddenly are unavailable and miraculously show up as in stock at a higher price but other than that they're legit.

I used Discover too. I don’t recall buying from Optics Planet before, but I'm not really sure about being a new (or returning) customer.
