So I’m new to handguns, but not guns in general, but never had to consider this particular question.
If I carry a loaded magazine, but not chambered, is there any issue of the ejector becoming damaged from the stress of a fully loaded magazine pressing on it, or am I over thinking things here?

Remove your slide and insert a magazine into the magwell. Then you'll be able to see how close the top of the magazine comes to the ejector. There's actually a little relief cut in the top/rear of the mag to provide clearance for the ejector.

We all know what Mr. Garrison says about stupid questions...
Actually the way to learn is to ask. Around here we aren't going to get bent out of shape about questions like this.
Now questions that could be answered from the FAQs are a different story...:).
My old friend MGMike used to lament all the time: " No one reads the FAQs."
