I would say it is time for a new recoil spring.....

Actually to me those look like casting or machining marks. BUT......the way that countersunk hole that the recoil spring fits into looks I would agree and say you should probably claen that out with a dental pick, a q-tip w/ Hoppe's #9 and get a new recoil spring............
