First off, let me say thank you to many of the ppl on this board. Though I never got around to posting, I have been hanging out here for the past few weeks, as I just bought my P99, and the info here has been great. Also, a big hats off to Dr. Ken Lunde and James Lenaburg for the Walther P99 FAQ. The info there has helped out quite a bit.
Now for my question...
Magazines. I want to grab a few more, and I had planned on getting them from Kiesler's. As I was hunting around, I saw the Pro-Mags for the P99, and they were MUCH less $$$. Not being stupid, I was wary. You get what you pay for most times, so I tought I would ask. Anyone used the Pro-Mags? Are they crap? I would love to save some $$, as this will let me pick up the Meprolight's for my P99 as well, but I don't want to spend my hard earned money on crap.
Thanks to all in advance............

edited to add:

Those are great prices on the factory mags from Kiesler's.  I paid $35.   Get the factory mags.
9mm. Yes, you can't beat that price on the factory mags., until you look at the ProMags. They cost about 1/3 of the factory mags.
Also, let me add that these mags are for range use only. When I CC, it's Hydra-Shock JHP in factory mags all the way. Like I said, if i can save the money, great. But I will not buy crap

Please avoid Pro-Mags. I was greedy and got two of them. They both cause problems, one was jamming the gun and I had to send it back. They replaced the mag but they both still cause the same problem: the slide would not lock back when a mag is empty. It never ever happens with my 4 factory walther mags (two of them from Kiesler's). Don't be tempted by the low price.

Have fun shooting, congrats on the new toy.

Get'em from this  guy [email protected]

I bought 3 of from him, they are new, $20 a piece. I think shipping was 2-3 bucks. A  h$%l of alot cheaper than Kiesler's.

BTW way I live 5 minutes from them, and I got my P99 from them because the matched a price, I could have gotten mags from them for about $25 a peice and with sales tax, I saved by buying on-line....

I know that they have some in stock I was there today looking for a 22/45 Ruger mag and I saw a stack of them....May want to call them

In person Kiesler's is not all that "warm and fuzzy". Lets just say that they are the only game in town when it comes to firearms around here.

Without any serious retail threats for the other gun stores here, which there are not many, they really are impossible to deal with on firearms.

I will say this, if you are looking for a gun, and you really don't care about finding a good deal, Kiesler's is were you go.

For me I'm best friends with a brother of one of the co-owners and I get pretty good deals, if it was not for that, I would not step foot in the store...

I've never used the Pro-Mags, but I've heard nothing but bad things about them.

CDNN has pretty decent prices on P99 mags:

I've bought both from Keislers and CDNN before.....six one half a dozen the other.......IMO. I buy ammo from Keislers too......best prices I've found on Federal 165g Hydra Shok in .40 .

I agree with dog1, I also ordered a factory mag for my P99 9MM from [email protected] , he charged 22.00 including shipping. He told me when he recieved my check and when he sent out the mag, I would buy from him again. I think if you buy more than 1 he is a little cheaper. Here is a photo he sent of the mags.
