I'm looking at purchasing a lated model (used) P22. The weight on the front end of the 5" barrel is loose, twisting left and right slightly. It appears that there's a tension screw in the top of the weight, that when tightened, ought to take care of this. However, this doesn't seem to do the trick.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

it's metric threads so you must use the wrench that came with gun. I think this is caused from the slide meeting the weight as it reciprocates.
I moved the weight ever so slightly forward before tightening to reduce of elimiate this.

its also the two large screws on the left sideof the weight at the bottom
that need to be tightened.
