Hey guys new to the forum but not to the Walther platform. Got a new 15+2 mag and can't find a Grip extension for my Walther PPA M2. no one has it in stock. Even willing to get a used one but can't find it anywhere.

Any idea? anyone one has one willing to sell?

Vovchick2. The Walther PPQ doesn't use a 'grip extension'. I don't have a clue which gun you're talking about, as you state you have a Walther PPA M2......what's that?

I'm thinking maybe you have a PPQ SC......but that's just a guess. I'll wait for you to confirm which gun you actually have.

The A is rather close to the Q on the keyboard so I'm assuming that's what OP is talking about.

So I'm thinking PPQ SC, and OP wants to make a 17 round mags look decent with a sleeve like the one provided with the 15 round mags that comes with the PPQ SC.

Just a guess though. 😉

Yep, and if our guess is correct, the OP probably needs to contact Walther (parts dept.) and see if they have any sleeves and if they don't, when the ship may be arriving. :D

Is this what you're looking for?

That's part number 281 89 31

Couldn't a +2 baseplate be put on the stock PPQc 15 round mag and be made to work with the grip sleeve? I don't know personally, but the question would be relevant as I'm ordering the PPQc myself in a day or so.. :)

And I have several +2 mags...

I think she (I think) has to explain herself. I read it and reread it and it's not clear.

My best guess is she is under the mistaken impression she needs a grip sleeve to use the +2 mags in the PPQ.

No grip sleeve needed!

Either way, she is very welcome to the forum.

She needs to clarify her question a bit though as we are all engaging in well intentioned speculation.

Yes Q and A are close and fast typing makes me the "fat finger Syndrome"

yes, its PPQ and with the large mag, it looks weird. Can't seem to find anyone who has one in stock. Even Walther direct doesn't have it. My only option is to find it from someone who doesn't need it and willing to sell

So the PPQsc is still so new they aren't selling grip sleeves without a buying a pistol? I don't know how you feel about it, but if you wrap a P99c grip sleeve with a Talon grip you wouldn't know it has the P99 grip texture.

So the gun is a PPQsc? Was it bought new? If so, I'd say Walther owes you one. I'd hold them to that. They may not have one in stock but they should send you one as they receive a shipment.

I've also seen where parts are not available through the Walther store but are actually in inventory for repairs or replacements. Outside chance this is the case here. I'd definitely would push Walther CS hard on this - if this is a new gun.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I think I know what you're asking about. When I got my PPQ SC, I too wanted to use my larger PPQ 17 rd mags with it. I tried using the grip sleave that comes with the SC for its 15 rd mags, but although it fit onto the 17 rd mags, the mag itself would then not fully insert into the gun with that sleeve (only without it).
My solution was to order 2 more SC 15 rd mags with sleeves - although I could find the sleeves by themselves, they cost 2/3 the price of the mag and sleeve, so it made more sense to just get the combo. I then took one of the new sleeves, and shortened it a very small amount so that it just allowed the 17 rd mag to fully insert, being careful not to cut it too much that it didnt over-insert and damage the extractor. I decided to adjust the lower aspect of the sleeve, for a better appearance and fit, (although either top or bottom of the sleeve could be cut). I used a small sandpaper drum on a lathe, but you could also use a Dremel - I'd suggest fixing/make stationary the Dremel itself and using two hands to move the surface of the sleeve against it for better control. Take your time. Make a 1mm cut line on the sleeve to guide you. You will only need to take off slightly more than 1 mm of material, evenly around the base (or top) of the sleeve to reach the point where it will just fully insert. You can then polish the abraded end a little if you want, but you won't see it. I now have 2 stock sleeves to use on either of the 3 - 15rd SC mags I now have, or on my other standard PPQ M2 15rd mags they also fit. I only use my modified sleeve with my 17 rd mags, and marked it so I can easily identify it.
Please note the mag follower springs in the SC mags are slightly stronger than both the 17 and 15 rd PPQ M2 mags, so function/cycling could be affected with certain types of ammo if you use these in the SC. I have had few issues, especially after my SC is now fully broken in, but test your set up thoroughly - I ONLY carry my SC with the official SC mags to be safe.

Here's one place where you can the SC 15rd mag with sleeve at a good price:
https://grabagun.com/walther-magazine-ppqm2-9mm-15rd-w-ext.html

Here's a pic of the finished, adjusted sleeve with the 17 rd mag fully inserted. Note too, that there will be a very slight gap when fully inserted, to allow it to click in fully while inserting. It isn't noticable to my hand/grip at all in use.

Hope this helps!

The Issue is it will look like **** I am trying to make it look professional
I run my standard m1 PPQ mags in my m1 P99sc With a m1 P99c spacer. Perfect fit
I do it in both 9mm and 40 P99sc's
The PPQs I have are M2 and are not compatible with M1.
I assume they would be interchangeable in the M2 world but I don't know for sure
