Please forgive me if this has been covered, but other than the Walther accessory light, what others fit the 99?  I've heard the Smith 99 application will not fit the Walther....

That is correct sir! Some guy keeps advertising the M5 tactical light on Gunbroker saying in the Ad headline that it is for the P99, but yet, if you know, and read the text of his ad, it is for the SW99.

You may not be aware of the Laser Devices unit, which Walther logos and Earl's sells. You can also get the non-logoed version for about $100 less. Here's the info on it: Insight Tactical Light for the P99

I'm waiting on the rumoured Insight Tactical light that will fit the P99. Of course I've been waiting for about 2 years

Thank you for the info.......
But for my likes, I think the Walther tac-light/laser just leaves too much hanging in front of the gun

Insight makes smoooth stuff, guess they don't know us Walther shooters wanna go out to play in the dark too!

Be well,
Chris~

Y' know, I don't see why someone can't develop a fixture and adapter to attach popular existing brands of tactical lights to the P99, for instance, something like the SureFire E1 or M2.

In fact, if there's enough interest, I might be willing to design something, and do a batch run in the shop, based on pre-order commitments...

I've been working on this exact same thing.
Right now I have some initial working drawings/plans and a chunk of aluminum, and a friend with a CAD/CAM milling machine. When I finally get a prototype, i'll post some pics.
I'm going to adapt a Glock rail system to the P99 rails, the hard part is getting it light enough and small enough to be practical, but still sturdy. I also have a chunk of nylon polymer material, that is very strong and light, that I may try and use.

Something else that may be possible, is to have Robar epoxy and machine a light mount on your P99 frame, like they do with early Glocks.
