A couple of weeks ago, I was passing by my dining room table, on which I had laid my PPS M2, when I noticed the light hitting it was very nice. I am a pro photographer, although I've never "shot" a firearm before for myself, or for a client, except in the "pull trigger and go bang" meaning of the word.

At the time, I didn't have any of my cameras handy, but I did have my iPhone. The light was fading fast, so I decided to just use my phone to take a picture. I like this shot, so I thought I'd share it with some of you who might like to see it.

I've never posted a photo on this site before; it's not clear that I am doing this correctly, so I hope this shows up. Here it is.

As a man who spent most of his adult life in the Corps and as a civilian working behind a camera I can easily say Excellent. The preservation of the detail and the highlights on the black surface while accentuating the texture is impressive. Beautiful photo.

Thanks

Many thanks to all of those who made complimentary remarks.

I appreciate it, and I'm glad that other people can appreciate how that, sometimes, every day objects can appear to be so much more than how we ordinarily think of them, when we recognize how God's glorious natural - or man made - light can be used to save their fleeting beauty in a recorded image that is just slightly different than we ordinarily allow ourselves to see.

Happy shooting (both kinds) to you all.

Cool photo. I wish I was better at taking pics, I think proper lighting and some idea of what you鈥檙e doing is necessary. I can adjust the light, but my skill level is limited I guess.
