Is that true that p99 As would be deleted out in the market and QA still in it

The word that came back from Shot Show is that Walther America (aka S&W) is going to stop importing the P99 AS model. They want to focus the market on the QA (which is what they are making in the SW99 now). Walther will still produce the AS, but it will be harder to come by. Earl's will still be importing them...which means the price will probably go to $800+. But they haven't been dropped from the product line -- just the import market.

It's already becoming expensive...I saw one in the gun shop today for $600. My dealer commented that they're getting hard to find...and I believe him! I've seen other places list them for under $500, but when you call they can't get one in stock. If you want an AS, grab it when you see it!
