Just curious if this site has mainly got P99 lovers... I know there are old school Walther folks on here too... and then there are those that have a Walther and are looking for info, but prefer Sigs/HKs/Glocks/etc.

My favorite one in my collection is Colt Gold Cup NM Series 80 converted to Series 70 and set up for IPSC Unlimited Class. Though not very practical for CCW.

Next is my Sig Sauer P228 but still too big for me to carry and for nobody to notice.

The HK P2000 Sub Compact is getting some serious thought too.

My P99 used to be my favorite (lol, and only) pistol. I had fired others - Sigs, Glocks, Beretta 92, HK USP .45, but none were as good as the Walther.

However, my recently acquired Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded Micro Compact .45 is now my favorite handgun. It is incredibly comfortable in the hand although it does not look like it could be more comfortable than the P99. It also more instinctively points in the right direction.

Although I love the P88, the P5 would be my favorite.

Right now my P99 Titanium is a strong 2nd. My SIG P228 tops the list. It just fits my hand better, and the controls are instinctive for me. That said, I've been carrying only the P99 for the last 4 weeks. It CCWs beautifully. I'm getting ready to send the SIG in for a makeover and want to be totally familiar with the P99. Happily, that happened very quickly.

3rd Glock 17.
4th is the Bren Ten, but I can only carry that big ol' honking pistol in a shoulder holster.
5th Kahr K40 Elite 98. Man, that thing has a sweet trigger!
6th S&W 6906
7th RIA 1911A1
8th CD Enhanced ECS .45

On an aside, my P22 is great, but I list that separately, because it's a plinker, not an SD weapon.

If by favorite you mean the one you carry and shoot the most
then a Walther PP series is for sure mine. When walking the dog out back I carry a PP .22 to fend off rabid chipmunks or
a PPK/S .380 for larger varmints.
I have a number of pistols and calibers to choose from but find
the little Walthers spend the most time out of the gun safe.
Call me old school, but I prefer a nicely blued pistol with wood
grips to a matte black one with plastic grips, although I do
have a couple of stainless guns.
My .02.

My favorite pistol is my Browning Hi-Power. It's just so sweet to shoot, fits my hand great, and is good-looking. (Stock except for walnut grips instead of those ugly and uncomfortable plastic things.)

My PPK is my least favorite to shoot, which surprised me, because I had shot a friend's PPK/S that was very sweet. My PPK has sharp edges, mediocre bluing, nips the web of my hand, and has an overly-stiff and gritty double-action trigger pull. I'm pondering whether to get it worked on to correct its problems or just get rid of it.

One heck of an avatar ComBlocGunner!

OK, what was the question??? Oh yeah...

My Sig 226, 9mm and my P220 have been my favorites until I got my hands on a P99... It was love at first hold... Now I have three favorites! In no particular order. Kind of like which shirt am I going to wear today thing...

Man, I like that avatar ComBlocGunner!

So, I went with the P5, but my SIG P229 and Kimber 1911 Eclipse could have been #1 if I hadn't shot the P5 yesterday :D
