Thank you.i have my great grandfather's 38 police issue revolver. It's so ugly I had to hack off the end of the barrel. Looked like a child's toy. I want to put a beefy barrel on it. Any direction. Any and all inputs are welcome

That looks like a Model 10. 1957 was the first year of production for that model.

I'm curious why you hacked up the barrel?

Is there a front sight on your gun now?

Well it was ugly. Long narrow. I put a scratch/notch at the end to reflect the light for my site.
