Hi, i just bought a P99 in OD (Military). It is a perfect match for my black P99. I also ordered some Euro sights from board member. I fixed the slippery problem with some grip tape on the back strap. Awesome gun. Anyone else have a pair of P99s?

I noticed most of the P99s you got are 9mm. How do you compare it against the 40sw? accuracy and recoil wise.

Since we're comparing:

Interarms black P99 .40
Interarms QPQ P99 .40
WaltherUSA Military P99 .40
WaltherUSA black P99QA .40
Earl's Military P99QA .40 (sequential serial numbers)
Earl's Military P99QA .40 (sequential serial numbers)
WaltherUSA black P99QA 9mm
Smith and Wesson P22 "First Edition"

Then:

P88 full size
P38 IV (1969 New with holster)
PPK 1968 German made 7.65mm

Have had (but traded off):

Model 4
PP 1940 9mm kurz
PP 1942 7.65mm
PPK/S Interarms 9mm kurz

Wish I had some of those that I traded.  Oh well.

Musky Hunter,

Yes, for carry I like the .40's terminal ballistics over the 9mm.

As far as your question concerning the comparison. The 9mm is more accurate. (at least mine is) However I can get my .40's to group almost as well with my hand loads. The .40 has more muzzle flip, but after shooting them a lot, you don't notice it much later on.

I have switched to my 9mm for IDPA competition, for two reasons. One, less recoil and two, less money for ammo. But I still carry the .40.

Forgot my P99QA, added that one to my original append.

I like the 9mms much better than the .40 and the .357Sig.

.40 is plenty accurate though, I was very impressed with it the first time I shot it.

The 9mm is more fun to shoot, easier to place follow-up shots and mine are VERY accurate (second only to my P7s).

Congratulations on your "pair".  They look very nice together don't they?
I have the P-99 in b/b and g/b both in .40.  This these run like sewing machines!  The g/b seems to be rough to find here in Kali.  Glad I got mine!  I am very sad to see TFL shut down!!!!  Rich and Company were sooo cool!  Anyway, just wanted to offer congrats!!!  Have fun!  Any one heard of .357 Sig barrels?  I've been waiting patentially.

Peace all,
Dave
