There is a bourbon that I like (Belle Meade - both Sherry cask and Cognac cask), but I'm mostly a Scotch drinker - all single malts and mostly Speysides. Macallan 18 is what I drink most but not a lot of restaurants have it, so as a backup I also like the Balvenie 12, Glennmorangie 18, and the Aberlour14. Most upscale restaurants and bars have at least one of those. Always a double and one single clear 2 1/4 inch ice cube. Interestingly, it's harder to find a bar that has clear sphere ice balls than one that carries the Macallan 18.
