i found this interesting post on Network 54. The poster swapped out the stock LGU spring and seal for Vortek parts.
"For about $30 you can get a Vac-seal 25mm piston seal and a HW95 OEM replacement spring (.125" wire X 33 coils) from Vortek. I put this in my .177 and it is as smooth as ever and makes 15.5 ft. lbs. It fit the original spring guide perfectly, the spring and seal were a "drop-in" fit.
Last time I chronographed it I was shooting H&N FTT 8.63 gr. pellets at 900 fps. I would bet in .22 it would be more than 15.5 ft. lbs."

it seemed like the gun benefitted from this, so I'm going to try it. The parts were $31 shipped for spring and piston from Vortek. What do you all think of this idea?
