How did you first hear of the P99?

With the the popularity of the 007 movies and other franchises, I was wondering how many of you were turned to the P99 because of something Bond related.

I'll admit I got interest in the P99 from Die Another Day, but I bought it because of its functionality and feel in the hand. I think it'd be interesting to post another poll later to see why people bought the P99. I wonder if some people bought it because 007 has it, much like the sales of .44 Magnum revolvers went up after Dirty Harry's release

All this is very interesting. I really like how a lot of people were influenced by just putting it in their hand. I think that the feel of it in your hand is the best feature of all.

With all the publicity its been getting and its great features, I'm a little surprised that its not more popular than it seems to be (this is based on my unscientific looking around at what other people have at the range).

Does anybody know the civilian sales figures of Walthers compared to things like Beretta, Sig, Glock etc? I am guessing that Glocks will outsell everything else, even the 1911. But it'd be nice to see Walthers on par with Sig or Beretta.

Maybe its just my computer, but I'm wondering why this thread keeps getting bumped even though nobody has responded to it for 2 weeks? This has been happening every few days it seems and only to this particular thread.
