With the the popularity of the 007 movies and other franchises, I was wondering how many of you were turned to the P99 because of something Bond related.

I'll admit I got interest in the P99 from Die Another Day, but I bought it because of its functionality and feel in the hand. I think it'd be interesting to post another poll later to see why people bought the P99. I wonder if some people bought it because 007 has it, much like the sales of .44 Magnum revolvers went up after Dirty Harry's release

I had a few extra bucks and went to the gun show not looking for anything in particular -- except maybe a Sig. I fondled HKs, Kimbers, and about anything else I could touch.. BTW, I didn't need anymore guns so it's not a case of the needy.

The Sigs just didn't feel right and I was going to pick up a Springfield mini .45 when I reached over and picked up a P99 -- having passed it over at least a dozen times already. In fact, I wasn't really looking and thought I was picking up a Sig before that final decision. WOW! What felt this good in my hand sure wasnt' a Sig. I never let go until I had to fill out the paperwork. #### fine gun. Now I own 3 and may eyeball a .40.

Oh. I am a big James Bond fan but that wasn't part of this decision.
