Had an Interarms and then a S&W PPK/S and with each the grips where the screw holds it tonthe frame developed a crack, hopefully they will use a better grip or I can get one with the walnut grips.

Fron what I understand, the S&W grips were prone to cracking.

The key is to avoid over tightening the grip screws. Just use blue loctite and tighten by hand until snug. Or, put a set of aftermarket grips on it. Be advised that many of the wooden ones are thicker.
