Holosun SCS Design changed ?
So I finally bought a pair of Holosun SCS red dots from OpticsPlanet for my PDP compact and my wife's F Series.
After installing them and putting them side by side, I noticed that one has a slightly better design with cuts that follow the lines on the slide better and completely flush
I contacted OP support and they had no clue but they ordered me a replacement basically, specifically requesting the "improved design" version.
I did not find any information or reference to this new design so I was wondering if someone here can shed some lights on what's going on with Holosun.
FYI, the "improved design" model has a lower serial number in the 13xx range compared to my standard unit that is in the 15xx range. but then I found SCS units with even lower serial numbers (in the 12xx range) on Reddit that didn't have that extra cut .

In the product picture presentation, even on the box there is no scallop/cut. So it's hard to argue with them as you're getting exactly what's presented. I would suggest you to e-mail the vendor before ordering
I did it with 3 of them, just one confirmed that they can ship me the one with the cut.

Yes but I did fact check him by having my Mom contact customer service and ask the same question, they said the same thing, "every PDP mount will have the cut" was the exact wording they used. Yesterday my friend from USA received my SCS PDP from Primary Arms and it's having the extra cut. ( he will deliver it to me personally in 2 weeks)
