Holographic sight replacement for rear sights?

I saw a Glock that had the rear sights replaced with a holographic dot sight. The guy at the counter couldn't tell me much about it. It looked like it belonged with the pistol. Not like that huge rail system that you need to buy now. Anyone else seen these??
