Hi,
What do I have here?
All the pics I have seen of the KKJs have a metal bolt? through the stock near the wrist, mine does not?
Serial is 53** with an e in front of serial number.
It has a spread eagle proof mark followed by an N , then74 then antler horn?
The action is marked with a Walther banner then Carl. Walther,Ulm/Do. Sportwaffenfabrik,
My questions are I guess is ...
Did they make these without that bolt through the wrist stock?
Is the rear sight standard?
What year was this made?

Thanks in anticipation.

What you're referring to as a bolt through the stock is actually the safety on earlier KKJs. The rear sight looks a little different than the one on my older KKJ, but my guess is that it's correct on yours. It would appear that your rifle was made, or at least proofed, in 1974, going by the stamp info you provided.
