These are made for 22's and airguns not 9 MM and 40 S&W pistols.

I do not know if the unit will actually fit or not. However, even if it did fit...for $84 plus shipping it would not be very practical for actual shooting on a real Walther P99 (vs the airsoft P99).

Man I have no idea where to go with this. Red Dot sights usually end up on rifles and race guns. Neither of which does the Walther fit in. Lasers I could go on for days about. Seriously with the fragility of these items I tend to stay away, but the only companies that make quality sights(400ish in price) are Trijicon and Burris. Your best shot is to call both companies and see if they have some new info or accurate information on the subject as the websites didn't.

Wish I could help more.

Hmmm... even if it did fit, it isn't constructed to withstand repeated 9mm/40 recoil I wouldn't think. At the very least it would constantly be loosing its zero.

I actually have that scope mount but it isn't accessible at the moment. I'll try to see if it fits and get back to you.

The small scopes work just fine on pistols the competition guys run the hell out of them without loosing zero. I just don't support them as a self defense tool, because of other issues. Well unless you have eye issues etc. Just not my thing.

I've done some researching on just this thing. For a GEN II P-99, the Insight M6X-A11 is supposed to fit, according to Insight themselves. I say GEN II because they specified open rails. The GEN I has closed rails.
The M6X is a Tactical light as well as a laser. You can order it with a IR (infra-red) or visible laser. They run about $250-$350, depending on where you buy it.
I'll be posting my personal opinion of it once I've received/played with it ;)
