was curious as to which night sights you folks might have had the best success with. Also, until that happens, are the standard sights "sturdy" enough. Does that little screw do as well as dovetail set up? Many thanks. I love the feel of this piece of equipment!!

A big YES to the Meprolights.  I just put them on two weeks ago and I love them.  I may even go as far as to say that I like them more than the Walther sights.
Worth every penny.
PS: Congrats on your new P99.  Still one of my favs., and a darn fine pistol.

I like my Meprolights far better than the factory sights....day or night.

Yes. I came really close to losing my front Meprolight sight because I didn't loc-tite it in the first time. I used blue loc-tite and it's stayed put for about 6 months now, with no issue.

I have Trijicons on my P99, and Meprolights on my wifes P99QA.
I prefer the sight picture of the Trijicons, but the Meps are a much better fitting sight.
If I did it again i'd buy Meps for both.
After saying that, my next sights will be AO/Express 24/7 standard dot sights.
