I have a Interarms made in USA Walther PPK/s that is a complete jam-o-matic. Please recommend a good gunsmith for reliability work on this pistol. Earl's in Massachusetts won't do it because it's not German-made.

thanks!

Those are some crazy wait times for custom work from them. It can take over a year if you want a custom finish.
The custom Gunsmithing (and holstermaking business) is not what it used to be. In the post 9/11 world there are many more people coming into firearms, but not enough machinist's apprentices to learn to work on them.

A lot of shops are so backlogged they aren't taking any work, while others have a 2 year wait if you are lucky enough to get on the list.

Mike McClellan (no relation to me) was an Interarms gunsmith for many years and has extensive experience with all Walther pistols of that era, up through the P99. Anything I can't do myself I take to him. He's in Alexandria, VA, at (703) 739-2150; [email protected].
