The following is how to translate the letters into digits, which then correspond to the last two digits of the year:
A = 0
B = 1
C = 2
D = 3
E = 4
F = 5
G = 6
H = 7
I = 8
K = 9
Thus, an "AE" P99 was made in 2004 ("AE" = "04").
