Wagemage, thanks for the lead!

One observation for others that might have an interest in the .40 P99 above, it appears to be one of the 5,000 S&W produced .40 P99s. Notice in the pictures the lack of German proof marks on the slide and chamber and frame, as well as the second digit of the serial being a "6". Also the laser etched logo on the slide. That's not to say it's a "bad" P99 or anything... just not one of the "all German" P99s.

Recommend you beware of gunbroker.com; unlikely you would get a P99 AS for $200. A more realistic price is in the $400 to $500 range and if you use gunbroker.com rather than go through a local dealer which is much safer, you typically end up paying shipping fees in the $30 to $40 range plus FFL transfer fees at one end at least, so final price you can end up paying could be $50 or $60 or even $70 more. Then if you have a problem, who do you complain to. Play it safe, use your local retailer, generally even the worst retailer will be better than dealing with gunbroker if you have a problem.
