Hi, this is my first post here.

I've shot about 700 rounds through my 9mm AB P99
The first 500 have been flawless.
I recently bought a new magazine (factory mag) and have had some failures to seat. typically this occurs around round 7-10 (10 round mag) and I need to push rear of slide.
Ammo used so far: PMC 115 JHP, PMP 115 gr FMJ, Norinco 124 gr FMJ (HOT ammo kicks alot!!!)
Had problems with all 3 types of ammo. Ran out of ammo before I could test with other 2 older mags but the 'bad' mag did reproduce the malfunction.

Is it just my magazine?
I also noticed my recoil spring guide is some what 'wobbly and loose' near the end that tucks into the rear of barrel.

I'm pretty sure this is not due to 'not breaking in my gun' as my first 500 rounds with all types of bullet weights were flawless.

Anyone else experience this type of malfunction with a 9mm P99

If something did happen to my gun I am happy to say I just bought 2 more 9mm AC P99's and have a whole bunch of recoil spring assemblies on order from SW/Walther!!!

Seriously please help.

FTFeeds are usally mag related. I would rule out that mag and try the older ones. At 700 rounds your recoil spring is just getting broken in. I had this problem not too long ago with another fire arm. Thought it was the spring but it was mag related.

I would go back to the range and try the old mags with the same ammo. More them likely you wont have that problem.

If this problems continues, send your P99 to me and I'll dispose of this "harzard" material for a small fee.

Good luck shooting.

I have a brand new OD 9mm P99 and have experienced the same problem. I only fired about 200 rnds thru it of various weights and brands. I was using S&W Hi Cap mags with a white follower. I found that I had to use my thumb to get it completely into battary every once in a while. I havent tried it with the Walther 10 rnd mags yet. I suspect it is still breaking itself in. Any other opinions? Thanks
