I own 858,791 Walther PPK with a 60 degree safety. Marschall lists the earliest 60 degree lever at 855,000 (1935). Does anyone have an example closer to 855,000, or earlier? If so, what is the serial number?

Also, is there any signifcance to the early 60 degree safety?

Someone on another forum mentioned that they were requested (or issued?) as part of a block of PPKs for a specific party group.

Someone here said it's random as to which serial numbers had the 60 and 90 degrees after a certain point.

Just wondering if there is any significance to the early / transitional 60 degree safety guns.

I have 865xxx and it's 60 degrees, but a lot of guns after mine still have 90 degrees. As yes, slide matches frame, serial numbers are etched inside.
