I was in the market to buy a p99. I wanted a DA/SA. Does walther still make the AS? Someone told me that the new Walthers are only QA or DAO?

Correct me if i'm wrong....The AS is there DA/SA

yes the AS is the DA/SA
and yes they are suppose to be back in a few months and if you look around you still can find some NIB P99 before then

my 2 cents worth of the AS being gone for a bit.....I belive that Walther has gotten into a bind with filling military and Police contracts(spelling? damn Germans)...... as I read a post somewhere with a link to an article written from a guy in the Air Force for a Air Force paper that the Iraqui police forces are being trained on P99's..... but that's just a stipulation on my end

They are back and they are out there! I'm not sure about availability in the US but I got one in Canada dispite the fact imports of handguns all but halted during our elections in Dec and Jan (one party wanted to ban them outright) So I would expect there are lots down there by now.
