Question in title, really - according to the serialnumber table, a Walther PPK 7,65 with serial 1089xx is made in 1954-56.
Will this also hold true if the gun is Manhurin-stamped ("Manufacture de Machines du Haut-Rhin, lic excl Walther etc)?
There's no difference between the models otherwise, right? Parts, magazines etc?
Danke, Dieter u. Martin
Followup question:
I read somewhere that the PPK sights changed sometime in the 60'ies.
My other PPKs are 68 and 71, and have ok sights. Will this '56 have other/inferior sights?
Also correct. Walther/Manurhin changed the sights on both, PP and PPK, ~1968. Your picture shows the older design. Some people prefer the newer design, I personally shoot my (older) PPK regulary and it's OK.
Ok, thanks. I'm considering this because of the markings really, but I might get a post-68 instead, if the sights are better. This is for competition use.
