I would not oil the striker, as it will attracked dirt even more...

you might take the striker assembly out and clean it well and it might solve the issue

It seems like one of my P99's sounded like that when it was new. You could only hear it when you pulled the trigger real slow and with out ear protection and then it was very slight... It does not do it any more...
Take it out and shoot it, then give it a though cleaning, it will go away... It's just new!

Quote[/b] (cahill99 @ Oct. 13 2006,1:31)]I don't know how to fix it. I've cleaned my striker, and still the proble presists. Also when I dry fire in DA mode, the spring makes this toy like "PRONG!!" as the striker snaps forward.
Do you have an empty magazine inserted when you dry-fire your P99? If you do, it's probably the magazine spring that's resonating. My P99 makes a "sproinging" sound when I dry-fire it with the empty magazine inserted. The sound goes away when I dry-fire with the magazine removed.

Just a thought.
