New member here and I am looking for some answers regarding a future purchase.

I am looking into a P99 or SW99 and beside the political issues of S&W, what are the true differences between the two.

This will be a Range - Carry weapon and looking for the best value for the dollar.

As far as the polictical issues, S&W is owned by a new group and I for one would like to see an American Gun manufaturer make it!

My current carry gun is my USP9c or USP357c

I went with the Walther P99 last summer. 2000 rnds+, and still smooth! I have nothing against Smith & Wesson, as I have a 686 revolver and plan on getting an SW1911.
