I recently shot my P99 in a very dusty, sandy environment, and so would like to detail strip it and get all the grit out. I thought I could just remove the roll pins and the carriage would lift out from the polymer frame (like my P22), but apparently not. Anyone have instructions (and pictures) on how to detail strip a P99? Thanks.

search the forum, there are a few threads with some great stripping instructions with pics. Admin, this may be a good folder to open up. Stripping, cleaning, and parts and stuff.

No need to remove the trigger group from the gun for cleaning and it is not recommended by Walther.

You can soak the entire frame if you wish to......and using some compressed air [ from a can if you don't own a compressor } blow out and dry the frame and trigger group.

Please contact Walther Service before taking your trigger group from the frame........... they can tell you if that will void your warranty.

Than you may proceed as you like ..being well informed.
