Creed - Law Enforcement packaging?

Bought this back in 2018 ($310 shipped from Bud's) and it's been sitting in the back of the closet ever since. Guess you could call it one of those impulse buys.

The only difference from the standard packaging is that you get a third mag. Which begs the question: Did any LE organizations ever adopt the Creed as a duty weapon? I would hazard a guess and say "no". Also, I don't recall seeing any LE packaging for the PPX.

I don't believe any law enforcement agency ever adopted the Walther Creed or PPX. Yours was probably intended for private purchase.

I may be wrong here, but I seem to remember reading years ago that manufacturer's were able to offer a LEO discount because those guns were taxed differently than those intended for commercial sale. Hence the LEO label.

I can't recall any notable police departments adopting the creed for general issue.

However, there are some departments have allow (or require) officers to purchase their own duty guns and give them varying degrees of latitude on weapon selection.

Also, while not exactly "law enforcement", certain types of licensed security guards are eligible for LEO discounts.
