One more video from today's match, Stage 7. Pistol is bone stock except for Dawson .100 front .125 rear. I have been telling people that complaint about recoil or flip or muzzle rise that I don't see an issue. What do you all think? Is the muzzzle rise acceptable?
Looks fine to me, but higher framerate video played back in slow motion would probably tell the true tale, especially if there was also a similar video of you shooting a "lower flip" gun.
I wish I had some video to contribute to this thread, but as of now, I've only got video of myself shooting one stage, and I'm honestly a bit embarrassed at the idea of sharing it, because I totally blew it on a weird unloaded table start *and* fumbled a reload at the end. Those two mistakes cost me probably 2.5+ seconds.
New to forum, as well as USPSA. I have two matches under my belt with a 92FS, a very sweet gun.
I just picked up the Q5 match a week ago with a Delta Point Pro, I’m thinking to use it in either open or in carry optics.
I see that most people shoot 147g in optics, and 124/125 in open division...
Competition forum seems a little slow. Just wondered how many forum members use their PPQ's/Q5's for IDPA/USPSA. I just started using a Q5 for IDPA. Great gun but I'm still adjusting from a much heavier CZ.
Im new to all of this competition shooting and what not. Would you guys be able to explain to me the different type of competitions, whats allowed, how they usually run etc. If I start competing it would be with what I already have which is a Q5 with a red dot or a CREED. I have no...
I'm charged with organizing a series of Service Pistol matches for my club. These are regulated by the CMP and are more traditional bullseye matches. Course of fire is 10 shots at 25 yards in slow, timed and rapid fire using 1 or 2 hands along with 10 shots slow fire with weak hand only.
My son and I have decided to try out some competitive shooting. Have not decided between USPSA and IDPA, or perhaps both. Will be checking them both out over the next few weeks. I have a Garrett holster on order.
I will be using my PPQ M1 5" and I think I would like to use some...
