First time owner of a walther. Now have a P99c 9mm AS.

Let me say that this is way easier to field strip and clean compared to my Kimper 1911.

The question is am I missing anything because I'm so amazed at how easy it is to get at anything. Are there any problem areas that anyone has noticed that can get missed or overlooked when cleaning? Any particular cleaner better or worse for the finish on these things? Best Lube points? Gun oil vs gun grease? Anything else I'm forgetting?

Also how long untill those "wear spots" from the holster become a problem with this black finish the walther comes with, and what is the best fix/prevention for the problem.

Not new to guns but definately new to anything other than stainless finish.
Thanks in advance for all the advice.

For holster wear, I spray the inside of my leather holsters with a silicone spray, I really saturate them. I think it helps. I don't holster my p99 very often, so I don't know how damaging holstering is for them in the long run.
