I have a quick question regarding my p99 and the recoil spring. After I pulled on the take down catch and removed the slide of my P99 I then took out the recoil spring and then lifted the barel out so I could clean it, being I just got it today and have not stared at the front of the gun, after I reassembled everything I noticed that the recoil slide kind of makes the little circle below the barel protrude. Is this normal? Did I squish the recoild slide too much? I would love to hear any suggestions. Thank you.

If it protrudes a bit [about a millimeter or two], it was engineered to be that way. If it juts out beyond that, you'll need to disassemble, adjust the placement of the spring, and reassemble.

Ya its the 9mm, I guess its normal, but like I said I wasn't really looking at the front of the gun, more like through the sights...:) Its a really sweet pistol. I guess its just normal to stick out just a tad. Thanks guys.
