I probaly overcleaned it as I had everthing off the slide and frame except for the mag release. I must say that it fully striped very easily.
Anyway, I cleaned out the ton of brass dots that were inside it. They don't seem big or plentiful enough to cause any problems. Are they coming from the extractor or the firing pin?

I'd think it more likely that they are from a sharp spot on the extractor, but take a close look at your spent casings. You may be able to tell from there.

Found a few in the p5 as well. A lot less as it is shot less. Yeah, I meant to look at the spent catridges sometime.

on mine I've noticed that the slide puts 2 pretty deep scratches in the brass as it comes back to strip the next round. most of my shavings I've found come from that, I think. :)
