I have been looking now for some time for a ccw holster for my p-99c in the AS trigger without much success. Anyone have suggestions for A) what style is the best for CCW of this weapon, and B) who would be the best mfg that provides the holsters.

Thank you

FWIW:

I prefer an IWB holster and after careful research I finally ordered a FIST Kydex iwb... The FIST is extremely thin.... The price was right. ($35.00)

When I was speaking to the nice folks at FIST giving them my order I asked them if both my P99/AS and the P99c/AS would fit the same holster, or should I order a separate holster for each?

The person taking the order said they would "cut" for the compact, and "mold" for the full sized (or visa-versa) and one holster would fit both. I thought that was pretty nice of them.

When the FIST Kydex came it was indeed EXTREMELY thin, both pistols fit perfectly, and that's what I use for cc either of the P99/AS's..

When I bought my new Walther PPS I was surprised, and pleased, to find out the PPS also fit the FIST iwb holster perfectly.. :D

The FIST Kydex isn't the prettiest holster on the block, but it certainly functions perfectly and just "disappears" inside the waistband. If you have an interest in a iwb holster I can recommend the FIST Kydex without reservation.

YMMV

Fist Kydex IWB holster

I agee with PX15. I took his advise some time ago. I added a body shield for comfort. He's right about its looks, but who is going to see it. So slim it akin to mexican carry.

PX15, which model is the FIST holster you have listed? How does it attatch to your person? Some sort of leather and snap beltloop?

I think I'm gonna snag one of those.

rx:

I don't know the actual model number, but you can always ask them.

I like a "clip" and the clip on the FIST is a very good one. It has a "lip" near the bottom which snugs up under the bottom of the belt and is the holster is firmly retained.

I don't know whether or not a belt "loop" version is available, but FIST is online, and (I think) with an 800 ph. number (not sure) and they were very nice to me on the telephone. I also believe their holsters come in both Kydex, or leather.. You need to ask them.. Also some of the holsters are offered with a "flap" for body comfort.

Hope this helps.

Since the SW99 trigger guard is slightly different from the P99, will the Fist IWB holster for a P99 work for an SW99?

Thanks,

Gd:

Don't know if the same holster works for the P99 and the SW99, but I'd be willing to bet if they don't then they have the pattern for both.

More information on Fist kydex holster

The Fist holster in question is model #1K clip holster. Comes standard in Ultra thin kydex at $34.95. Add a body shield for five bucks. [The same holster comes in leather #1 clip holster which is much thicker]

The holster fits both 1st & 2nd Generation P99. I use mine with a P99 .40S&W and a P99c 9mm

PX15,

How is the stitching holding up on the FIST holster?

Chris:

So far, just fine.

I DO NOT use the Walther (now PPS) in the FIST for daily cc.

When I go into the small community hereabouts I cc my LWS32 in a rear pocket wallet holster. Anytime I pick up my car keys & wallet I put my Seecamp in my back pocket. THAT is my daily cc choice.

When my wife and I go into the larger cities shopping, or traveling, then I try and cc my PPS in the FIST..

I explain this to you because I don't cc the FIST on a daily basis, and so far I see no (and expect none) wear.. I think the FIST is well designed, well sewn, and a lot of iwb holster for the money. I was lucky in that my FIST, which I ordered custom cut for my P99's also fits my PPS perfectly.

I should think that in the event your FIST ever DID start having stitching problems you could find a nearby shop, (leather/carpet,etc) who could easily stitch it back up for you.

I'm well pleased with my FIST. I enjoyed the communication I had with the FIST folks on the phone, and they struck me as being good folks to deal with, and who would be quick to fix any factory defects you found.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

Any idea if this is the thin kydex or ultra thin? From the video on the website it looks like the ultra thin you can actually squeeze together and it will retain it's original shape after release.

Y:

Ultra thin...

You can squeeze it together but it pops right back into shape.. I have two more on order now.. One for my J-frame snubby, and one for my HK P7.

Excellent products.

I agree with PX15. I picked one up shortly after he showed it here. I too find it holds up, doesn't pinch closed when the gun is out of the holster. I added the body protector for an extra $5.

I have been using it daily for quite some time and the stitching is still tight as a tick. The ultra thin kydex makes it feel as though you are carrying Mexican style, albeit w/ trigger covered.

I ordered 3 different fists today 2 leather #1A (mostly for storage) and a #K1 J-HOOK TUCKABLE OPTION (only comes in thin kydex though)

I am going to email her now and get the #1K with body protection. I really want to try the ultra thin.

These are going on a G19, P99 .40, P99 9mm, and P99C.
I've got 11 holsters on order now so be looking in the For Sale area soon for the ones that don't work for me!
