I just bought a CCP and it goes right up there with the quality of my other 6 Walther’s but I heard some undocumented talk about a recall for safety issues on the model. Being an retired cop I have learned not to believe anything till I get confirmed evidence. Walther can you give me the straight story please on any recalls on my CCP thanks

This isn't Walther, so you won't hear back from them. Here is a Walther link to a CCP recall from Walther with serial numbers affected for this specific incident. May not be the only one..

Welcome and hope everything works out.
First. There is a recall for the CCP M1. Not for the M2 model.
I contacted Wather by email ( [email protected] ) and enclosed a pic of the serial number and magwell to verify my CCP was included in the recall. They verified it had not been back to Ft. Smith and needed to be sent in for the recall.

Fill out the info and you will get instructions on how to ship back to Ft. Smith:

You can check to see if there is a small dot machined into the magwell. That would mean the drop safety recall has been done already.

I had mine done. No charges at all to me. They paid shipping both ways, FedEX, and total R/T turnaround was 1 week.

Here's a link about mine:
