Good morning,

I own a P22CA and am looking into the CCP 9mm because I have read that the slide is easier than most 9mm pistols. Is this true?

I have a Ruger EC9S and the slide is pretty difficult for me to rack, so, I am hoping that the CCP 9mm is easier than the Ruger. (I am an older female)

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

The CCP slide is easier to cycle until the striker is cocked at which time subsequent cycles require increased force due to the already compressed striker spring. Not being familiar with the P22CA I am unable to compare the two models. If possible I suggest you take the P22 with you when you examine the CCP at your local gun shop and perform a number of slide cycles with both.....alternating between the two.
