Hello all,
  I'm picking up my P99 9mm in just a few days.  I am going to go to Walmart to pick up a few hundred rounds of ammo to start me off.  
  I will be at home for about a week from school for Thanksgiving and I am planning on purchasing more ammo online (its cheaper) and having it delivered to my house during that week.  To do this, I will have to order at the beginning of next week.  I don't feel comfortable having ammo sent here at my apartment, especially since I am not at my apartment most of the time to sign for it.

  Unfortunately, this means that I will not be able to test fire the above ammunition in my 9mm P99 before ordering the ammo.  I figure that ammo will function similarly from one P99 to the other, especially if many people get the same results.  This is where I need help.  I am wondering what experiences you all have had with these two particular types of ammo.  I have heard some good things about CCI Blazer.  I found PMC ammo for the same price and wanted to know which was better.

Also, I am wondering if the aluminum case of the CCI ammo presents any benefits or drawbacks over the usual brass casing, like the PMC.

I voted for CCI/Blazer because it is so CHEAP at least here in the Dallas area at the Academy Sports locations. You did say in your poll that if they were the same price what would you pick. I've not shot any PMC 115gr FMJ, but lots of PMC 124gr FMJ. Also LOTS of CCI/Blazer.

My P99s LOVE the Blazer stuff, flawless and accurate. For the same money, I'd probably pick the PMC for the brass cases I could reload if I chose to. But, you should be able to get Blazer for at least $1/box cheaper, maybe $2 if you have an Academy Sports close by.

I voted for CCI too. I have had great luck with ALL their ammo, blazer included.

I am NOT a fan of any PMC ammo.

I am in Virginia. When I'm in south-western part while I'm at school, I get my ammo from Wal-Mart, but their prices have been creeping up over the last few months (.223 Rem was $6.80/box of 40 and now its $7.60).
When I'm in Northern Virginia where home is, I have a few more options. I usually go to Sports Authority. Their prices can be a bit better than Wal-Marts, but you have to get them on the right day.
I have had good results from CCI .22 LR ammo. They burn a little dirtier than the Remington Golden Bullet Value Pack, but their casings are of higher quality and I dont get as many misfires with CCIs. I have never shot any type of PMC ammo though. I guess I will go with the CCI Blazer 9mm!

i voted 115g PMC(made in South Korea), cuz i've used quite a bit of it and very happy /w it thru my p99. Thee CCI i've tried a few times, but i was told the aluminum is a lil harder than brass and would wear out my extracter a lil quicker than if i used brass cases... so i use brass cases....

HOWEVER, i have found that 124g PMC (made in South Africa) to be crap... they are extremely dirty and tend to stovepipe a lot on my P99.

I went to the range today and used my P99 for about the 3rd or 4th time. I had previously tried Speer, Federal, Winchester. Today I used some ammo that the range sold, which I would assume would be relatively cheap ammo, it was "PMP" brand in a dark blue box and was labeled as from South Africa. It actually shot extremely accurately in my P99, better than the others. There was a bit of smoke/muzzle flash that was barely noticeable, but just very accurate. Anyone out there familiar with this brand?

Hey all,
I just bought 500 rds of 115gr 9mm ammo from Wal-Mart. 300 rds of Winchester white box in 100 rd packs for $11/ea. I also got 200 rds of CCI Blazer in 50 rd packs for $5.86/ea (a little pricier, but thats ok). On Thursday when I get the P99, I will test both of these rounds. I'll let you all know how it goes!

I turned 21 today!!! Woo-Hoo!!!
